There’s a quote attributed to F. Scott Fitzgerald that goes by the title ‘For What It’s Worth’, which starts as follows: “For what it’s worth … it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want.”
I believe that’s true, or at least hope it is. I’m in my seventies and embarked on a second career as a fiction writer. Career is perhaps not the perfect word, but since I’m retired, I’m able to conflate avocation and vocation, so second career it is.
I write mostly speculative fiction, and am a member of SFWA and a Codexian.
